Rifleman
Rifleman departed Hobart for London, 14 April 1833. Shipwrecked on Auckland Islands, the tragic ending was discovered by Captain Anglim and his crew of the Caroline when they called at the sealing grounds some months later.
While much debris was seen, the identify of the ship remained a mystery. In fact it wasn't until 180 years later when the riddle of the Rifleman was finally solved.
