Otago

In 1851, Captain Stevens took his ship Otago to the West Coast sounds as tender to the survey ship HMS Acheron.

Two years later, the little vessel had another equally important mission to carry out, when she delivered a mob of sheep to Bluff. The sheep were driven over land to Jacob’s River, where Captain Stevens lived.
